Breaking Free From Bondage to Embrace God’s Grace. Throughout history, the Black Church has known what it means to live under oppression — both spiritual and social. But God has always been a God who liberates His people. Just like he delivered Israel from Egypt, He also delivered us from sin, bondage, and even from legalism. In Galatians 4, Paul uses a powerful illustration to teach us about the difference between living under the Law and living in God’s grace — using the story of two women: Hagar and Sarah.
