Meet our First Lady

First Lady Alisa Stewart

Biography

Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” — Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

First Lady Alisa Stewart is a woman of faith, purpose, and compassion, committed to serving God and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. She approaches life's opportunities and challenges with gratitude, humility, and the conviction that God equips us for every season. At the heart of her journey is a guiding belief: love is a gift from God, meant to be expressed through how we live and treat others.

As the wife of Reverend Dr. Major Adam Stewart, Senior Pastor of Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Lady Alisa is honored to walk alongside her husband in life and ministry. She embraces her role as his wife and helpmate with joy and purpose, united in their commitment to family, faith, and serving God's people.

A former corporate executive, Lady Alisa brings extensive leadership experience and a passion for developing others. As an internationally credentialed coach and leadership consultant, she equips executives and leaders to lead effectively, strengthens team performance, and partners with organizations to foster collaboration and strategic alignment. She is equally passionate about helping individuals discover their strengths, navigate change, and realize their potential.

She believes leadership begins with service and that everyone possesses God-given gifts and talents. She values lifelong learning, meaningful relationships, and strong communities, recognizing that even small acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact.

At Greater Mt. Sinai, Lady Alisa is a member of the Servants of God Deaconess Ministry. She looks forward to growing in fellowship with the church family and contributing to its mission as opportunities unfold. She is particularly inspired by the congregation's generosity, dedication, and commitment to outreach, both locally and beyond.

Together, Lady Alisa and Reverend Dr. Stewart are blessed with six adult children and one grandson. Family is central to their lives, and they cherish the bonds strengthened through grace, understanding, and shared experiences.

Her favorite scripture, Philippians 4:13, reminds her that her strength comes through Jesus Christ. Equally meaningful is 1 Corinthians 16:14: “Let all your things be done with charity” (KJV), a reminder to approach every aspect of life with love. Together, these verses reflect the foundation of her faith: drawing strength from Christ and allowing His love to guide her actions.

As she embraces this chapter of her journey, Lady Alisa hopes to use her gifts and experiences to uplift individuals, strengthen families, and serve the church and broader community.

Above all, she seeks to reflect the love of Christ, believing that a life of purpose is measured not only by what we accomplish, but by the love we share and the difference we make in the lives of others.
