What To Do While Waiting for Your Change To Come!

A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT PENNED BY YOUR PASTOR…….

What To Do While Waiting for Your Change To Come!

“...I will wait, 'til my change comes.” Job 14:14 NKJV

Before you quit and give up in discouragement, consider the long and difficult transformational process by which a butterfly emerges from its cocoon. If you try to rush God's purpose and process in your life, you'll produce something deformed, something that can't get off the ground and fly. Perhaps you're thinking, “I can't wait for this to be over.” That's understandable. Job couldn't either. He said, “All the days of my hard service I will wait, “til my change comes.” But by God's grace he survived, and ended up with twice as much as he lost. So hold on, your change is coming! God won't give up on you, so don't give up on Him! There's a work going on in you right now. You may not be able to see it or even understand it all.  But understand this…. God wants to do a transformational work in your life.  In order for the transformation to take place, something has to die, so that something better can be brought to life in you.  Did you catch that?  If not, read it again!
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to bow down to King Nebuchadnezzar gods (Daniel 3:18). Refuse to bow down to temptation, or to manipulation, or to ungodly persuasion. Stop trying to keep up with the Joneses.  Refuse to surrender to selfish agendas and ambition.  Stop bowing down to impatience and intolerance. Learn to walk by faith and not by what you can see.  Know that, “...[God] is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we are able to ask or think...” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV). They say, “Good things come to those who wait.” But you and I already know that it all depends on WHO you are waiting for. If you are waiting on God, He has a blessing for you.  Here’s the blessing in waiting….. God promises a strengthened heart for those who dare wait for things to change: “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” (Psalms 27:14).
